The tech

No spirals. So nothing gets stuck.

The most common complaint about any vending machine is a product left hanging on the coil. We bet on vending machines that cannot do that.

  1. 01

    Nothing to jam

Tap a card or phone, the door unlocks, take what you want, close it. Cameras and weight sensors work out what left the shelf and charge you for it. There is no corkscrew coil to hang a bag of chips on, because there are no coils.

  2. 02

    Fewer things to service

Most vending service calls are jams and mis-vends. Removing the delivery mechanism removes the failure mode along with it. What is left is restocking and the occasional refund, and both of those were already ours.

  3. 03

    An assortment that learns

The machine reports what sold, when, and what someone picked up and put back. The mix moves toward what your building actually buys, and keeps moving as the building changes. Not a planogram set once at install and forgotten.

What it costs you

Nothing. A vending machine, free to your property.

Press a selection, or punch its code into the keypad. Every slot is a term of the arrangement, printed on its label.

The nine terms in full

A1 — No cost to you
We buy the machine, deliver it, and install it. There is no equipment charge and no monthly fee to the property.
A2 — No labor
Your staff never counts inventory, never restocks a shelf, and never files a service ticket.
A3 — No complaints
Refunds and service issues come to us. Our contact information is on the machine, not yours.
B1 — We restock it
Route service on a schedule set by how fast the building actually sells, not a fixed calendar.
B2 — Tap and go
Tap a card or phone, the door unlocks, take what you want, and close it. Card only, so there is never cash sitting in a machine in your building.
B3 — Nothing gets stuck
There are no spirals and no drop chute, so there is no mechanism for a product to hang up on. Telemetry flags an outage without anyone in the building calling it in.
C1 — ADA-height access
The door handle, the reader, and the shelves all sit within accessible reach range.
C2 — Assortment that learns
An apartment lobby and a machine shop do not sell the same things. The mix follows the sales data and keeps adjusting.
C3 — Month to month
No long-term contract on the property side. If it is not working for you, we pull it.
Where we place

Where we put vending machines in Grand Rapids.

We place vending machines anywhere within 30 miles of Grand Rapids. Foot traffic, a standard outlet, WiFi the machine can join, and about eight square feet of floor — that is the whole list.

  • Apartment buildings

Lobbies, mail rooms, and amenity floors. An after-hours convenience residents actually notice.

  • Offices

Break rooms and shared floors in multi-tenant buildings, without you running a pantry program.

  • Gyms

Drinks and recovery items at the exact point people want them.

  • Hotels

Floor alcoves and lobbies, priced so guests do not resent it.

  • Laundromats

A guaranteed thirty-minute dwell time. One of the best vending environments there is.

  • Light manufacturing

Shift work, odd hours, and a break room that has to work at 2 a.m.

  • Unique spaces

Anywhere people gather and get hungry. Rec centers, dance studios, coworking floors, dog daycares, trailheads, church basements, event venues — if people are there long enough to want a snack, we will come look at it. Ask, even if it is odd.

Our vending machine service area

We install and service vending machines across Greater Grand Rapids and the surrounding West Michigan communities, everywhere inside a 30-mile radius of the city. Pick your town for what we place there:

Not on the list but close? Ask anyway — the radius is a guideline, not a fence.

What goes in it

We build the assortment around your community.

We create unique assortments in our machines. Sometimes people just need snacks. But sometimes non-traditional items can go a long way too. We will build a selection that matches the quirkiness of your community. Nothing is too weird (as long as it is legal).

The machine reports what actually sold, so the mix keeps moving toward what your building buys rather than what we guessed on install day. Tell us what your people would want and we’ll try it. If some items aren’t interesting, we’ll keep rotating until we find an assortment your community loves.

How it works

Four steps, and three of them are ours.

  1. 01

    Walkthrough

We look at the space, the foot traffic, where the power is, and whether the WiFi reaches. Fifteen minutes, and you are not committing to anything by having it.

  2. 02

    Install

We deliver the machine, place it, plug it in, and load the first fill. You do not lift anything and you do not pay anything.

  3. 03

    We service it

Restocking, cleaning, repairs, and refunds are ours. Telemetry tells us what sold and what broke before you would have noticed either.

  4. 04

    You do nothing

That is the entire product. If it stops being worth the floor space, tell us and we pull it.

Vending machines that report on themselves.

FAQ

Vending machine questions, answered.

How much does a vending machine cost my property?

Nothing. BotBox buys the machine, delivers it, installs it, and stocks it. There is no equipment charge, no installation fee, and no monthly cost to the property. We make our money on what sells.

Do you install vending machines outside Grand Rapids?

Yes. We serve everywhere within about 30 miles of Grand Rapids, which covers Wyoming, Kentwood, Grandville, Walker, Rockford, Hudsonville, Jenison, Caledonia, Cedar Springs, Lowell, Zeeland, Holland and the rest of Greater Grand Rapids. If you are just past that line, ask anyway.

What happens when something gets stuck in the machine?

Nothing can get stuck. Our vending machines have no spirals and no drop chute. You tap to unlock the door, take what you want, and close it, so there is no delivery mechanism for a product to hang up on in the first place.

Who handles refunds and complaints?

We do. Our contact information goes on the machine, not yours. Your staff never fields a vending complaint, never issues a refund, and never files a service ticket.

Do your vending machines take cash?

No. Payment is card only — tap, chip, or mobile wallet. That is deliberate: no cash in the machine means no cash sitting on your property and nothing worth breaking into.

Can we choose what goes in the machine?

Yes, and we would rather you did. We build a unique assortment per building. Sometimes people just need snacks, and sometimes non-traditional items go a long way. Tell us what your community would actually want and we will build the selection around it — nothing is too weird, as long as it is legal. Because the machine reports what sells, if some items aren’t interesting we’ll keep rotating until we find an assortment your community loves.

What does the vending machine need from my building?

Three things. A standard 120V outlet, WiFi the machine can join, and roughly eight square feet of floor. We handle the network setup; we just need permission to get the machine online.

How do I get in touch?

Call (231) 888-1398 or email hello@botboxvending.com. Someone answers the phone day or night, and you hear back from the owner the same day. One person is accountable for your building, and that does not change as we grow.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. The arrangement is month to month on the property side. If the machine stops being worth the floor space it sits on, tell us and we will come pull it out.

What kind of vending machines do you install?

AI-automated grab-and-go coolers. Cameras and weight sensors work out what left the shelf and charge the card automatically, telemetry reports sales and faults back to us over WiFi, and the product mix is set per building from real sales data rather than a fixed planogram.
